Rebuild the World Trade
Center Site
On Saturday, July 20,
2002, thousands of people from throughout the tri-state area will come
together to participate in the process of planning the re-construction of
Lower Manhattan.
The
meeting, called “Listening to the City,” will be held at the Jacob Javits
Center in Manhattan. At the meeting, six different options for
re-developing the World Trade Center Site will be presented by the Lower
Manhattan Development Corporation. Public participants will be able, via
electronic means, to voice their opinion about, and vote on, these various
options.
Check-in and breakfast
will start at 8:00 a.m. The program will last from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Participation is free and open to everyone, but space is limited, so if
you would like to participate, you should pre-register by calling
1-800-862-3154, or by visiting the program’s website at
www.listeningtothecity.org, where you can also get additional
